Recently I started getting a seam leak in my old faithful waders, so before I left for a week on the Au Sable I ordered a pair of Bass Pro White river waders and had them next day aired to me before we left. By far THE WORST PURCHASE IN WADERS I HAVE EVER MADE bar none!

The design of the waders has a 2 ply leg below the knee, and they left the corners of the 2ply open to drain water. Problem is the "drain" acts to also let water in between the 2 plys. So what happens is everytime you get out of the water you have a gallon of water in each leg between the 2 plys that has to drain out.

TERRIBLE design. Whomever designed these waders I would go as far to say they must have never fished in waders in ther life because it's the worst wader design I have ever seen and I dont think I can ever even use these waders again because its such a pain in the ass having all that water in the legs mad.gif

I don't know who makes them for them but whoever it is they should be beat with a spey rod and dunked naked in a 40 degree river until they redesign them mad.gif

Wait till you see these things while we're fishing next week, you wont believe it.

I used to have a pair of Orvis waders that had that same, um, 'feature', so I wouldn't be surprised if they were made by them. They went back after the first day I used them for the same reason you gave Steve. Wading from deep water to shallow water and over boulders and such was surprisingly difficult with all that excess water in the legs.

I just got off the phone with Customer Service at BPS. They are letting me send them back. There's just no way I can use them like they are. So at least it looks like I will get my money back on them.

Thank you! this is so unexpected! I really wasn't expecting this!.....I'd like to thank AlG for my inspiration, because no one sucks more than him tongue.gif He is my muse! And I'd like to thank Sean Juan for providing me with the courage to string together words that can't be found in the dictionary yet have a profound affect when used in succession. And I'd also like to thank Bass Pro for providing me with the suckiest waders that have ever been designed by someone sitting in a straw hut in indonesia and making my week long trip of wading a laborious experience that I wont soon forget and without them this wouldn't have been possible.

Thanks Steve....you warm my heart biggrin.gif

Funny tho, I see no mention of your pool boy, Javier? Although, i've never seen a pool in your yard... and its a bit early for halloween so i dint understand the leather horse mask, shackles, and why he stays under the bathroom sink? i thought those were only one person waders....not recommended for tandem use? scratch_head.gif whistling1.gif
